Events at the state border and within the country - June 27, 2018

On Wednesday the 27th of June, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 76 offenders at external borders and within the country.

27 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 citizen of Morocco with forged documents was detected

At the Zilupe Border Control Point a citizen of Morocco entered from Russia (fan of the World Football Championship - a holder of FAN ID Card), who presented forged identity card of the Kingdom of Belgium, was detected. The person was refused entry into Latvia and he was returned to the exit country.

4 citizens of Latvia, who are on the Police wanted list, were detained

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia entered from Larnaca, 1 - from London and 1 - from Dublin, as well as 1 - leaving Riga for Dublin, who are on the police wanted list, were detected. The men, born in 1983, 1985, 1974 and 1996, were detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

8 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Grebņeva Border Control Point 5 citizens of Russia and 3 - of Senegal were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 6 foreigners

At the Terehova and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Kirgizstan, 1 - of Armenia, 1 - of Turkey, 1 - of Uzbekistan and 1 - of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, were not in possession of valid visas or residence permits), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Turkey was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

1 Latvian citizen and 1 Latvian non-citizen were refused exit from Latvia

At the Zilupe Border Control Point 1 non-citizen of Latvia (female), whose passport is not valid for traveling outside the Schengen area, was detected. While at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia (female), who was not in possession of valid travel document, was detected. The persons were refused exit from Latvia.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 33 persons - 25 citizens of Ukraine, 4 - of Lithuania, 3 - of Russia and 1 - of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 16 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 6 citizens of Latvia, 3 - of Ukraine, 2 - of Russia, 1 - of Sweden, 1 - of Canada, 1 - of Poland, 1 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Estonia.
