Events at the state border and within the country - June 28, 2019

On Friday the 28th of June, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 25 offenders at external borders and within the country.

17 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 citizen of Turkey, who is on the police wanted list, was detained

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Turkey leaving Latvia, who is on the Police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1975 was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

3 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Pāternieki, the Silene and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia, 1 - of Belarus and 1 - of Uzbekistan were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 5 foreigners

At the Terehova, the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Belarus, 1 - of Ukraine, 1 - of China, 1 - of Paraguay and 1 - of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 1 citizen of Latvia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 7 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 2 citizens of Russia, 1 - of Estonia, 1 - of Latvia, 1- of Ukraine, 1 - of German and 1 - of Belarus.
