Events at the state border and within the country - June 30, 2018

On Saturday the 30th of June, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 46 offenders at external borders and within the country.

21 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 3 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states; as well as 1 citizen of Belarus and 1 - of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of compulsory health insurance police. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

At the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 3 citizens of Ukraine, 1 - of Russia and 1 - of Egypt, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visas or residence permits, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Russia and 1 - of Egypt was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 7 persons - 4 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Estonia and 1 - of Lithuania.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 18 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Belarus, 4 - of Russia, 3 - of Latvia, 2 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Estonia, 1 - of Moldova, 1 - of Ukraine and 1 - of German.
