On Thursday the 1st of March, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 37 offenders at external borders and within the country.

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, at the Paternieki, Silene and "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 4 citizens of Ukrain, 1 - of Belarus and 1 - of Russia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country but at the Terehova and Paternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Moldova and 1 - of Ukrain were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners have a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the countries of exit.At the Silene Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (absence of valid visa or residence permit), was detected. Person was subjected to administrative liability.While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 9 persons - 4 citizens of Lithuania, 3 - of Estonia and 2 - of Ukrain.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 11 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Lithuania, 2 - of Latvia, 2 - of Belarus and 1 - of Armenia.
