On Sunday the 1st of March, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 44 offenders at external borders and within the country.

25 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

2 foreigners with forged documents were detected

At the Grebņeva Border Control Point 1 citizen of Kazakhstan, leaving Latvia by truck with trailer, with forged German International Vehicle Insurance Policies was detected. While at the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Lithuania, leaving Latvia by truck with trailer, with forged Danish International Vehicle Insurance Policy was detected. The forged documents were seized. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

6 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Moldova and 1 - of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 4 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 2 foreigners

At the Zilupe and the Pāternieki Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa free regime), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 4 persons - 3 citizens of Estonia and 1 - of Lithuania.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 15 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Latvia, 4 - of Russia, 2 - of Estonia, 2 - of Belarus, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Moldova and 1 - of Kazakhstan.
