On Saturday the 2nd of March, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 42 offenders at external borders and within the country.
24 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
3 persons, who are on the police wanted list, were detainedAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine leaving Latvia for Russia, 1 citizen of Latvia entered from London and 1 citizen of Latvia leaving Riga for Doncaster, who are on the police wanted list, were detected. The men, born in 1970, 1992 and 1998, were detained and handed over to the State Police officers.
7 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Georgia and 5 - of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
At the Terehova, the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia, 1 - of Ukraine and 2 - of Uzbekistan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 4 persons - 2 citizens of Lithuania, 1 - of Russia , 1 - of Estonia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 14 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 6 citizens of Latvia, 5 - of Belarus, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Estonia, and 1 - of Ukraine.
