On Monday the 4th of March, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 27 offenders at external borders and within the country.
12 trespassers were detected at external borders, including: 3 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia. At the Grebņeva and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit; 1 citizen of Georgia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and he was not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states; as well as 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 3 persons - 2 citizens of Russia and 1 - of Latvia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 12 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Belarus, 3 - of Russia, 2 - of Latvia, 2 - of Moldova and 1 - of Estonia.
