On Wednesday the 6th of March, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 40 offenders at external borders and within the country.

17 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 citizen of Russia with forged documents was detained

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia with a forged Schengen visa, was detected. Criminal proceedings were initiated for the use of forged documents. The person was placed in the State Police short-term detention facility.

4 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Moldova (female) was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid travel document. At the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Egypt was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit; 1 citizen of Moldova and 1 - of Ukraine were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 1 foreigner

At the Zilupe Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), was detected. The person was subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 7 persons - 3 citizens of Russia, 1 - of Latvia, 1 - of Moldova, 1 - of Tajikistan and 1 - of Lithuania.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 16 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Belarus, 4 - of Russia, 3 - of Latvia, 2 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Uzbekistan and 1 - of Estonia.
