On Thursday the 8th of March, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 35 offenders at external borders and within the country.

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, entered from Lodon and who is on the police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1981, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.At the Terehova Border Control Point 2 citizens of Russia, were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit but at the Paternieki Border Control Point 3 citizens of Ukrain, were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country. The persons were returned to the countries of exit.At the Paternieki and "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizens of Belarus and 1 - of Uzbekistan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (absence of valid visa or residence permit), was detected. Person was subjected to administrative liability.While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 6 persons - 2 citizens of Russia, 1- of Estonia, 1 - of Great Britain, 1 - of Ukrain and 1 person without definite status
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 17 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 10 citizens of Russia, 3 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Belarus, 1 - of Uzbekistan, 1 - of Slovakia and 1 - of Latvia.
