On Friday the 8th of March, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 28 offenders at external borders and within the country.

12 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detained

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia leaving Latvia for Russia, who is on the police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1999, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

3 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine (female) was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit; 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and he was not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states; as well as 1 citizen of Ukraine (female) was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 3 foreigners

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Georgia, 1 - of Ukraine and 1 - of Uzbekistan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 minor citizen of Latvia, who was not in possession of notarially certified agreement of at least one parent for her independent travelling outside Latvia, was detected. The person was refused exit from the country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 4 persons - 2 citizens of Estonia, 1 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Russia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 12 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Belarus, 2 - of Lithuania, 2 - of Russia, 1 - of Estonia, 1 - of Latvia, 1 - of Kirgizstan and 1 - of Ukraine.
