On Friday the 9th of March, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 41 offenders at external borders and within the country.

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, entered from London and who is on the police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1987, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.At the Terehova, Zilupe, Silene and "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 citizens of Russia, 1 - of Kazahstan and 1 - of China, who violated the conditions of residence (residence after expiry of residence permit indicated in visa, absence of valid visa or residence permit) in Schengen countries. Persons were subjected to administrative liability.At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 minor Latvian citizen who was not in possession of notarially certified agreement of the second parent for his independent travelling outside Latvia, was detected. The person was refused exit from Latvia.While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 10 persons - 4 citizens of Ukrain, 4 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Russia and 1 - of Estonia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 19 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Russia, 4 - of Belarus, 3 - of Lithuania, 2 - of Latvia, 2 - of Estonia, 2 - of Kazakhstan and 1 - of Kirgizstan.
