On Tuesday the 12th of March, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 37 offenders at external borders and within the country.

22 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 citizen of Uzbekistan with forged documents was detained

At the Terehova Border Control Point, 1 citizen of Uzbekistan, entered Latvia by car, with forged Bulgarian International Vehicle Insurance Policy was detected. Criminal proceedings were initiated for use of forged documents. In the framework of criminal proceedings the forged document was seized.

1 citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detained

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, entered the country from London, who is on the police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1996, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

5 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 5 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 4 foreigners

At the Zilupe and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 3 citizens of Russia and 1 - of China, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 3 persons - 1 citizen of Lithuania, 1 - of Georgia and 1 of - Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 12 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Belarus, 2 - of Latvia, 1 - of Azerbaijan, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Rumania and 1 Czech citizen.
