Events at the state border and within the country - March 21, 2019

On Thursday the 21st of March, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 41 offenders at external borders and within the country.

24 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

5 persons with forged documents were detected

At the Terehova and the Grebņeva Border Control Points 1 citizen of Uzbekistan entered Latvia by truck with trailer and 4 citizen of Kazakhstan leaving Latvia by trucks with trailers, who presented forged Bulgarian International Vehicle Insurance Policies, were detected. The forged documents were seized. The parsons were subject to administrative liability.

5 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Moldova was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the "Riga" Airport and the Pāternieki Border Control Points 1 citizen of Georgia, 1 - of Belarus and 1 - of Ukraine were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states, and 1 citizen of Georgia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 1 foreigner

At the Silene Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), was detected. The person was subject to administrative liability.

3 citizens of Latvia were refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 minor citizen of Latvia, who was not in possession of notarially certified agreement of at least one parent for his independent travelling outside Latvia, as well as 1 citizen of Latvia and 1 non-citizen of Latvia, who were not in possession of valid travel documents, were detected. The persons were refused exit from the country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 8 persons - 4 citizens of Latvia, 3 - of Lithuania and 1- of Ukraine.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 9 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 2 citizens of Belarus, 2 - of Lithuania, 2 - of Latvia, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of Poland and 1 - of Uzbekistan.
