On Thursday the 22th of March, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 40 offenders at external borders and within the country.

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Lithuania, entered from London, and who is on the wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1990 was detained and handed over to the State Revenue Service Tax and Customs Police Department officers, and at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvian,exited to Dublin, and who is on the wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1975 was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.At the Paternieki Border Control Point 3 citizens of Ukrain were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states and persons could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country. Persons were returned to the countries of exit.At the Silene, Paternieki and "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 citizens of Belarus and 1 of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence (residence after expiry of residence permit indicated in visa, absence of valid visa or residence permit) in Schengen countries. Persons were subjected to administrative liability.While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 5 persons - 3 citizens of Lithuania, 1 - of Estonia and 1 - of Russia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 8 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 2 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Lithuania, 2 - of Estonia, 1 - of Latvia and 1 - of Belarus.
