On Monday the 26th of March, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 48 offenders at external borders and within the country.

At the Vientuli Border Control Point 1 non-citizen of Latvia, entered to Latvia, and at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, entered from London, and who are on the police wanted list, were detected. The men, born in 1986 and 1975 were detained and handed over to State Police officers.At the Grebneva, Paternieki, Indra, Silene and "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia, 4 - of Belarus and 1 - of Kuwait were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 citizens of Ukrain were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners have resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period, and 1 citizen of Georgia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area, at the Paternieki Border Control Point 3 citizens of Ukrain were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states and persons could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country. Persons were returned to the countries of exit.At the Paternieki and Airport "Riga" Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia and 1 - of Ukrain, who violated the conditions of residence (residence after expiry of residence permit indicated in visa, absence of valid visa or residence permit) in Schengen countries. Persons were subjected to administrative liability.While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 6 persons - 2 citizens of Belarus, 2 - of Estonia, 1 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Russia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 10 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Latvia, 2 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Germany and 1 - of Belarus
