On Thursday the 28th of March, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 44 offenders at external borders and within the country.
25 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
2 persons with forged documents were detectedAt the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia (female) entering Latvia, who presented forged Poland Resident Permit, was detected. While at the Grebņeva Border Control Point 1 citizen of Kirgizstan entering Latvia by truck with trailer, who presented forged Bulgarian International Vehicle Insurance Policy, was detected. The forged documents were seized, the parsons were subject to administrative liability.
1 citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detainedAt the Port of Ventspils 1 citizen of Latvia entered Riga by ferry from Sweden, who is on the police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1981, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.
9 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 5 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. While at the Riga Commercial Port Border Control Point 4 citizens of Ukraine (seamen), who have a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area, were detected. Regarding the seamen an assurance was taken from the captain of the ship stating, that foreigners would not land on the shore while the ship was standing in the port of Latvia. The other persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 3 foreignersAt the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia, 1 - of Belarus and 1 - of India, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 15 persons - 8 citizens of Ukraine, 4 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of Uzbekistan and 1- of Belarus.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 4 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 1 citizen of Estonia, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Latvia and 1 - of Belarus.
