On Thursday the 29th of March, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 36 offenders at external borders and within the country.

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Kazakhstan was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, and 1 citizen of Romania was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen area. The persons were returned to the countries of exit.At the Zilupe Railway Border Control Point 2 citizens of Belarus, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The both persons were subject to administrative liability.While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 10 persons - 6 citizens of Estonia, 2 - of Russia, 1 - of Moldova and 1 - of Lithuania.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 14 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Belarus, 3 - of Latvia, 3 - of Russia, 2 - of Estonia, 1 - of Belgium and 1 - of Lithuania.
