Events at the state border and within the country - March 29, 2019

On Friday the 29th of March, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 51 offenders at external borders and within the country.

25 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

2 persons with forged documents were detected

At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of the Democratic Republic of Congo entering Latvia, who presented forged Schengen (Italian) visa, was detected. While at the Silene Border Control Point 1 citizen of Lithuania entering Latvia by truck with trailer, who presented forged Lithuanian International Vehicle Insurance Policy, was detected. The parsons were subject to administrative liability.

1 citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detained

At the Port of Ventspils 1 citizen of Latvia entered Latvia from Sweden, who is on the police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1991, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

5 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Vientuļi, the Grebņeva, the Pāternieki and the Silene Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia, 1 - of Azerbaijan and 2 - of Belarus were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and he was not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 1 foreigner

At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit), was detected. The person was subject to administrative liability.

1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia (woman), whose passport was not in possession of valid travel document, was detected. The person was refused exit from the country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 18 persons - 7 citizens of Lithuania, 5 - of Ukraine, 3 - of Estonia, 2 - of Russia and 1 - of Latvia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 8 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Latvia, 2 - of Belarus, 2 - of Russia and 1 - of Lithuania.
