On Sunday the 31st of March, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 32 offenders at external borders and within the country.
19 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
1 citizen of Lithuania with forged documents was detectedAt the Passenger Port of Riga 1 citizen of the Lithuania leaving Latvia, who presented forged Lithuanian passport, was detected. Criminal proceedings were initiated for use of forged documents. The man was placed in the State Police Short Term Detention Facility.
1 citizen of Lithuania, who is on the police wanted list, was detainedAt the Port of Ventspils 1 citizen of Latvia entered Latvia from Sweden, who is on the police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1979, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.
1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into LatviaAt the Zilupe Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. The person was returned to the exit country.
3 citizens of Latvia were refused exit from the countryAt the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 minor citizen of Latvia, who was not in possession of notarially certified agreement of at least one parent for her independent travelling outside Latvia, was detected; as well as 2 citizens of Latvia, who were not in possession of valid travel document, were detected. The persons were refused exit from the country.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 4 persons - 3 citizens of Lithuania and 1 - of Turkey.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 9 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Belarus, 1 - of Estonia, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of USA, 1 - of Latvia, 1 - of Moldova and 1 - of Israel.
