On Thursday, the 2nd of May 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 39 offenders at external borders and within country.

27 trespassers were detected at the external borders, inter alia:

Detected one person with falsified documents

At the border control point "Teherova" 1 citizen of Uzbekistan entering Latvia by truck, who presented falsified Bulgarian International Vehicle Insurance Policy has been detected. Detected falsified document were seized.

Two citizens of the Republic of Latvia in wanted list were detained

During performing profiling of passengers at the border control points in the Riga International Airport and the Riga International Passenger Port detected one from London and one from Stockholm arriving citizen of the Republic of Latvia at the moment in wanted list. Both men born in 1991 was detained and handed over to State Police officials.

Entry into the Republic of Latvia has been refused for ten persons

At the border control point "Pāternieki" and in the Riga International Airport entry into territory of the Republic of Latvia has been refused for 1 citizen of Russia as foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit and for 9 citizens of Ukraine, as the foreigners could not justify the purposes and conditions of entry and were not into possessions of sufficient funds to visit the Schengen area. All persons returned to the country of departure.

Seven persons detected violating residence conditions

1 citizen of Ukraine, 4 citizens of Kazakhstan and 2 citizens of Russia who had violated condition of the residence in the Republic of Latvia and had been detected at the border control point in the Riga International Airport. Violation of residence conditions was caused by not being in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, etc. All persons except two citizens of Kazakhstan had been subjected to administrative liability.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and water transport the State Border Guard of Latvia subjected to administrative liability 12 persons - 4 citizens of Latvia, 4 citizens of Russia, 2 citizens of Germany, 1 citizen of Lithuania and 1 citizen of Belarus.
