On Sunday the 6th of May, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 26 offenders at external borders and within the country.

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia entered from Doncaster and 1 - from London, who are on the police wanted list, were detected. The men, born in 1977 and 1986, were detained and handed over to the State Police officers.At the Grebņeva Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the Pāternieki Border Control Point 2 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country as well as they could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the Schengen zone. The persons were returned to the exit countries.While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 9 persons - 7 citizens of Lithuania and 2 - of Estonia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 9 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Belarus, 2 - of Latvia, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of Italy, 1 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Estoni
