On Tuesday the 7th of May, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 37 offenders at external borders and within the country.
19 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
1 foreigner with forged documents was detectedAt the Grebņeva Border Control Point 1 citizen of Kirgizstan, leaving Latvia by truck with trailer, who presented forged Bulgarian International Vehicle Insurance Policy, was detected. The forged documents were seized, the person was subject to administrative liability.
1 non-citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detainedAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 non-citizen of Latvia entered from St.Petersburg, who is on the Police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1977, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.
3 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states; as well as 1 citizen of Belarus (female) was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner has resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 6 foreignersAt the Zilupe and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Moldova and 5 - of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 3 citizens of Russia was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 7 persons - 3 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Estonia, 1 - of Latvia and 1 - of Poland.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 11 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 2 citizens of Latvia, 2 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Estonia, 1 - of Italy, 1 - of Belarus, 1 - of Kirgizstan, 1 - of France, 1 - of Serbia and 1 - of Russia.
