On Wednesday the 9th of May, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 35 offenders at external borders and within the country.

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in a possession of valid visas or residence permits, while at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 citizens of Georgia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners have a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit country.At the Grebneva Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia and 1 - of Moldova, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visas or residence permits), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by citizen of Russia and Moldova was not commenced.While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 8 persons - 4 citizens of Russia, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Latvia, 1 - of Japan and 1 - of India.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 12 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Estonia, 1 - of Belarus, 1 - of Moldova, 1 - of Uzbekistan, 1 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Latvia.
