On Friday, the 10th of May 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 45 offenders at external borders and within country.

Detected one person with falsified documentsAt the border control point in the Riga International Airport detected 1 citizen of Turkey attempted to enter Latvia with falsified passport and ID card of Hungary. Criminal proceedings have been launched for the use of false documents. The man is placed in the state police to a temporary detention.
Entry into the Republic of Latvia has been refused for four personsAt the border control point "Terehova" entry into the Republic of Latvia has been refused for one citizen of Russia as foreigner was not in a possession of valid travel document and for one citizen of Ukraine as foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. At the border control point in the Riga International Airport entry into territory of the Republic of Latvia has been refused for 2 citizens of Ukraine as the foreigners could not justify the purposes and conditions of entry and were not into possessions of sufficient funds to visit the Schengen area. All persons returned to the country of departure.
Two persons detected violating residence conditionsAt the border control points "Pāternieki" and in the Riga International Airport detected one citizen of Ukraine and one citizen of Moldavia who had violated conditions of the residence in the Republic of Latvia and in Schengen area. Violation of residence conditions was caused by not being in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, etc. All persons had been subjected to administrative liability.
Performing immigration control activities within the country violation of entry or residence conditions into the Republic of Latvia have been detected for 5 citizens of Ukraine,2 citizens of Russia, 2 citizens of Estonia and 1 citizen of Georgia.
Violating terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and water transport the State Border Guard of Latvia subjected to administrative liability 12 persons - 4 citizens of Russia, 4 citizens of Belarus, 2 citizens of Latvia, 1 citizen of Lithuania and 1 citizen of Kazakhstan.
