On Tuesday, the 14th of May 2019 State Border Guard's officials detected 30 offenders at external borders and within country.

19 trespassers were detected at the external borders, inter alia:

Citizen of the Republic of Latvia in wanted list has been detained.

At the Ventspils Port detected one from Sweden with ship arriving citizen of the Republic of Latvia at the moment in wanted list. Man was detained and handed over to State Police officials.

Entry into the Republic of Latvia has been refused for eight persons.

At the border control point "Silene" entry into territory of the Republic of Latvia has been refused for 1 citizen of Belarus as foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. At the border crossing point in the Riga International Airport entry refused for 6 citizens of Ukraine, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry and were not into possession of sufficient funds to visit the Schengen area. Also entry refused for 1 citizen of Ukraine because person already used allowed residence period without visa in the Republic of Latvia. All persons returned to the country of departure.

Three persons detected violating residence conditions.

At the border control point "Silene" and in the Riga International Airport detected 1 citizen of Belarus, 1 citizen of Philippines and 1 citizen of Kyrgyzstan who violated conditions of the residence in Schengen area (exceeded in visa allowed period of stay, etc.). All persons had been subjected to administrative liability.

Departure of the country refused for one underage citizen of Latvia.

At the border control point in the Riga International Airport detected one underage citizen of the Republic of Latvia traveling to Istanbul without notarized permission from parents with allowance to travel alone outside country. Departure of the Republic of Latvia for person has been denied.

Performing immigration control activities within the country violation of entry or residence conditions into the Republic of Latvia have been detected for 2 citizens of Latvia, 1 citizen of Ukraine and 1 citizen of Estonia.

For violating terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and water transport the State Border Guard of Latvia detected 7 persons - 2 citizens of Belarus, 1 citizen of Lithuania, 1 citizen of Estonia, 1 citizen of Russia, 1 citizen of Hungary and 1 citizen of Kazakhstan.
