On Wednesday the 16th of May, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 36 offenders at external borders and within the country.

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, exited to Kutaisi, who are on the police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1984 was detained and handed over to State Police officers.At the Grevneva, Zilupe and "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 4 citizens of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by citizen of Russia was not commenced, other persons were subject to administrative liability.While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 6 persons - 2 citizens of Latvia, 1 -of Germany, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Estonia and 1 - of Russia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 15 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 7 citizens of Latvia, 4 - of Belarus, 2 -of Russia and 2 - of Estonia.
