Events at the state border and within the country - May 19, 2019

On Sunday the 19th of May, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 36 offenders at external borders and within the country.

20 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

2 foreigners with forged documents were detected

At the Grebņeva Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus leaving Latvia by truck with trailer, who presented forged Bulgarian International Vehicle Insurance Policy, was detected; while at the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus entered Latvia by car with trailer, who presented forged Lithuanian International Vehicle Insurance Policy, was detected. The forged documents were seized, the persons were subject to administrative liability.

1 citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detained

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia entered Latvia from Doncaster, who is on the Police wanted list, was detected. The woman, born in 1979, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

3 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Silene Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit; while at the Pāternieki Border Control Point 2 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 1 foreigner

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Azerbaijan (female), who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit), was detected. The person was subject to administrative liability.

1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, who was not in possession of valid travel document, was detected. The woman was refused exit from the country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 3 persons - 1 citizen Lithuania, and 1 - of Kazakhstan, as well as 1 stateless person of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 13 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Belarus, 3 - of Latvia, 3 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of Ukraine and 1 - Estonia.
