On Thursday the 21st of May, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 37 offenders at external borders and within the country.

28 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:1 citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detained

In the Port of Liepāja, while carrying out immigration control of passengers, entered by ferry from Germany, 1 citizen of Latvia, who is on the Police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1986, was detained and handed over to the State Police Officers.

1 foreigner was refused entry into Latvia

At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. The person was returned to the exit country.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 24 foreigners

At the Silene and the Pāternieki Border Control Points 14 citizens of Ukraine, 9 - of Moldova and 1 - of Belarus, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay of the visa free regime), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 3 citizens of Moldova, 7 - of Ukraine and 1 - of Belarus was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 1 citizen of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 8 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Ukraine, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Estonia, 1 - of Kazakhstan, 1 - of Russia and 1 - of Latvia.
