On Tuesday the 22nd of May, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 42 offenders at external borders and within the country.

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the Paternieki Border Control Point 3 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the Schengen zone as well as they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.At the Terehova and the Grebņeva Border Control Points 2 citizens of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The record-keeping regarding administrative violations, committed by one of citizens of Russia was not commenced. The second person was subject to administrative liability.While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 12 persons - 4 citizens of Moldova, 3 - of Russia, 2 - of Lithuania, 2 - of Estonia and 1 - of Ukraine.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 12 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Belarus, 2 - of Latvia, 1 - of Serbia, 1 - of Singapore and 1- of Estonia.
