Events at the state border and within the country - May 24, 2019

On Friday the 24th of May, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 38 offenders at external borders and within the country.

14 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

At the Silene and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Belarus and 1 - of Uzbekistan were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

At the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Uzbekistan, 1 - of Ukraine and 1 - of Bangladesh, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 15 persons - 8 citizens of Ukraine, 3 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Moldova, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of Latvia and 1 - of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 9 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizen of Russia, 2 - of Belarus, 2 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Moldova.
