On Friday, May 25, 2018, officials of the State Border Guard of the Republic of Latvia have detected 50 offenders on both external borders and within the country.

18 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

• entry to the Republic of Latvia was refused to 2 foreigners:

At "Paternieki" Border Control Point 1 citizen of the Republic of Belarus was refused the right to enter the Republic of Latvia as she was not in a possession of valid visa or residence permit, at the Airport "Riga" Border Control point citizen of Kazakhstan was refused right to enter the Republic of Latvia as she could not justify purpose and circumstances of her travel and stay in Latvia. Both persons were returned to the country of exit.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country, violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 13 persons - 6 citizens of Ukraine, 3 citizens of Russia, 2 citizens of Estonia, 1 citizen of Latvia and 1 citizen of Lithuania.

Within the framework of vehicles and vessels operation, 19 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Border Guard of Latvia - 6 citizens of Russian, 5 citizens of Latvia, 4 citizens of Lithuania, 1 citizen of Hungary, 1 citizens of Israel, 1 citizen of Serbia and 1 citizen of Ukraine.
