On Saturday, May 26, 2018, officials of the State Border Guard of the Republic of Latvia have detected 38 offenders on both external borders and within the country.
16 tresspassers were detected at external borders, including:
• entry to the Republic of Latvia was refused to 5 foreigners:
At „Paternieki" Border control point 5 citiens of Ukraine were refused the right to enter the Republic of Latvia as these persons could not justify purpose and circumstances of their travel and stay in Latvia, and 3 citizens of Ukraine were not in a possession of sufficient means of subsistance to visit Schengen countries. Persons were returned to the country of exit.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country, violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 9 persons - 6 citizens of Lithuania, 2 citizens of Estonia and 1 citizen of Russia.
Within the framework of vehicles and vessels operation, 13 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Border Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Russia, 3 citizens of Lithuania, 2 citizens of Belarus, 1 citizen of Latvia, 1 citizen of Poland and 1 citizen of Ukraine.
