On Tuesday the 26th of May, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 36 offenders at external borders and within the country.
19 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
1 foreigner with forged documents was detectedAt the Grebņeva Border Control Point 1 citizen of Kazakhstan, leaving Latvia by truck with trailer, who presented a forged Latvian International Vehicle Insurance Policy, was detected. Criminal proceedings were initiated for the use of forged documents. The forged documents were seized in criminal proceedings.
1 foreigner was refused entry into LatviaAt the Riga Passenger Terminal 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. A letter of guarantee was taken from the captain of the ship that the man will not disembark from the ship at the Port of Riga.
At the Pāternieki, the Silene and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 12 citizens of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay of the visa free regime), were detected. Administrative sanction was not imposed on 8 citizens of Ukraine, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 15 persons - 8 citizens of Ukraine and 7 - of Uzbekistan.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 2 citizens of Belarus were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia.
