On Sunday, 27 May, 2018, officials of the State Border Guard of the Republic of Latvia have detected 31 offenders on both external borders and within the country.

23 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

• 1 citizen of Russia was detained with forged documents:

At "Terehova" Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia, arriving to the Republic of Latvia, with forged Bulgarian ID card was detected. Criminal proceeding was initiated for a use of forged documents. Person, born in 1992, was arrested and placed in the State Police short - term place of detention;

• conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen area was violated by 2 foreigners:

At "Paternieki" and Airport "Riga" Border Control Points 1 citizen of Belarus and 1 citizen of Ukraine, who have violated conditions of residence of the Schengen area (were not in a possession of valid visas or residence permit (exceed the duration of stay of the visa). Persons are subjects to administrative liability.

• entry to the Republic of Latvia was refused for 7 foreigners:

At "Silene" Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused the right to enter the Republic of Latvia as person was not in a possession of valid visa or residence permit. At "Paternieki" Border Control point 6 citizens of Ukraine were refused the right to enter the Republic of Latvia, as persons could not justify purpose and circumstances of their stay in Latvia. All persons were returned to the country of exit.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country, violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 7 persons - 5 citizens of Lithuania and 2 citizens of Estonia.

Within the framework of vehicles and vessels operation, 11 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Border Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Russia, 2 citizens of Lithuania, 2 citizens of Latvia, 2 citizens of Estonia, 1 citizen of Serbia and 1 citizen of Belarus.
