On Tuesday the 28th of May, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 57 offenders at external borders and within the country.
28 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
8 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Terehova, the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Moldova and 1 - of Brazil were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid travel document; 1 citizen of Tajikistan and 1 - of Russia were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit; as well as 4 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 6 foreignersAt the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Belarus, 1 - of Ukraine, 2 - of Russia and 2 - of Kazakhstan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 14 persons - 4 citizens of Russia, 4 - of Ukraine, 3 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Senegal, 1 - of Latvia and 1 - of Estonia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 15 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Latvia, 4 - of Belarus, 3 - of Russia, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Moldova and 1 - of Germany.
