On Tuesday, May 29, 2018, officials of the State Border Guard of the Republic of Latvia have detected 35 offenders on both external borders and within the country.
10 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
• entry to the Republic of Latvia was refused for 3 foreigners
At "Paternieki" and Airport "Riga" Border Control Points the right to enter the Republic of Latvia was refused to two citizens of Ukraine and one citizen of Russia, as persons could not justify purpose and circumstances of their travel and stay in Latvia, as well as both citizens of Ukraine were not in a possession of sufficient means of subsistance to visit Schengen countries. Persons were returned to the country of exit.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country, violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 9 persons - 5 citizens of Lithuania; 3 citizens of Russia and 1 citizen of Estonia.
Within the framework of vehicles and vessels operation, 16 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Border Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Lithuania, 3 citizens of Russia, 3 citizens of Belarus, 2 citizens of Latvia, 2 citizens of Estonia, 1 citizen of Serbia and 1 citizen of Mongolia.
