Events at the state border and within the country - May 31, 2020

On Sunday the 31th of May, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 19 offenders at external borders and within the country.

16 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

2 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 2 citizens of Russia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. The persons were returned to the exit country.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 6 foreigners

At the Pāternieki and the Silene Border Control Points 6 citizens of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay of the visa free regime), were detected. Administrative sanction was not imposed on 3 citizens of Ukraine, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 3 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 2 citizens of Lithuania and 1 - of Latvia.
