Events at the state border and within the country - November 10, 2018

On Saturday the 10th of November, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 41 offenders at external borders and within the country.

25 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

3 citizens of Latvia, who are on the police wanted list, were detained

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 3 citizens of Latvia, 1 - entered the country from Moscow, 1 - from London and 1 - from Abu Dhabi, who are on the police wanted list were detected. The men, born in 1969, 1977 and 1957, were detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

7 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova, the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit; 1 citizen of Georgia was refused entry into the country as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and he was not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states; 1 citizen of Moldova, 1 - of Georgia and 1 - of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners have a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. While at the Silene Border Control Point 2 citizens of Belarus were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 2 foreigners

At the Terehova and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Kirgizstan and 1 - of Moldova, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by the citizen of Moldova was not commenced, the citizen of Kirgizstan was subject to administrative liability.

1 citizens of Latvia was refused exit from the country

At the Zilupe Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia (woman), who was not in possession of valid travel document, was detected. The person was refused exit from the country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 4 persons - 2 citizens of Ukraine and 2 - of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 12 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Belarus, 3 - of Latvia, 2 - of Russia, 1 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Moldova.
