On Sunday the 10th of November, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 40 offenders at external borders and within the country.
24 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
5 foreigners with forged documents were detectedAt the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Moldova entered Latvia with forged Moldovan Driving Licence, was detected. Criminal proceedings were initiated for the use of forged documents. The forged document was seized within the framework of the criminal proceedings. At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 Iraqi citizens entered Latvia with forged Slovak citizen's passports and 2 citizens of Palestine entered the country with forged Sweden residence permit were detected. Iraqi citizens were placed in the Accommodation Centre for Asylum Seekers "Mucenieki", while Palestinian citizens - in the temporary detention facilities of the State Police.
1 citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detainedAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia entered Latvia from Dublin, who is on the police wanted list, was detected. The woman, born in 1976, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.
3 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Silene Border Control Points 1 citizen of Kazakhstan was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. At the
"Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Canada was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner has resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period. While at the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Moldova was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
At the Terehova and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Tajikistan and 1 - of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.
At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 minor citizens of Latvia, who were not in possession of at least one parent's agreement for children independent travelling outside Latvia, were detected. The persons were refused exit from the country.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 16 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 6 citizens of Belarus, 3 - of Russia, 3 - of Latvia, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Poland, 1 - of Bulgaria and 1 - of Estonia.
