On Sunday the 11th of November, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 40 offenders at external borders and within the country.

18 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

8 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into the country as the foreigner has resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period. At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 5 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into the country as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. While at the Port of Liepaja 1 citizen of Ukraine (a sailor) was refused entry into the country as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area and a letter of guarantee has been taken from the master of the vessel that the man will not get off the vessel during the vessel stay at the port, while the other persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 2 foreigners

At the Terehova and the Grebņeva Border Control Points 1 citizen of Mongolia and 1 - of Kirgizstan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 4 persons - 3 citizens of Lithuania and 1 - of Moldova.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 18 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Belarus, 3 - of Latvia, 3 - of Russia, 3 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Kirgizstan, 1 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Moldova and 1 - of Chine.
