On Friday the 16th of November, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 38 offenders at external borders and within the country.

16 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 citizen of Tajikistan with forged documents was detected

Carrying out immigration control inside the country a Tajik citizen, entered Latvia, was detained in Brunava Parish for use of a forged Schengen visa. Criminal proceedings were initiated for use of forged documents. The man was detained and handed over to State Police Officers.

3 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Kirgizstan was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 citizens of Uzbekistan were refused entry into the country as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 4 foreigners

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Uzbekistan, 1 - of Russia and 2 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Uzbekistan and 1 - of Ukraine was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 3 citizens of Lithuania.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 19 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 6 citizens of Latvia, 4 - of Belarus, 2 - of Russia, 2 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Poland, 1 - of Estonia, 1 - of Uzbekistan, 1 - of Kirgizstan and 1 - of Ukraine.
