Events at the state border and within the country - November 16, 2019

On Saturday the 16th of November, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 27 offenders at external borders and within the country.

19 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 foreigner with forged documents was detected

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Uzbekistan leaving Latvia by truck with trailer, who presented forged Bulgarian International Vehicle Insurance Policy, was detected. The person was subject to administrative liability.

1 person, who is on the police wanted list, was detained

At the Riga Passenger Port, while carrying out check on list of passengers, 1 citizen of Latvia entered the country from Sweden, who is on the police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1986, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

4 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 3 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 2 foreigners

At the Zilupe and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Moldova and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 minor citizen of Latvia, who was not in possession of the second parent's notarially certified agreement for her independent travelling outside Latvia, was detected. The person was refused exit from the country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 5 persons - 4 citizens of Lithuania and 1 - of Russia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 3 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 1 citizen of Russia, 1 - of Moldova and 1 - of Belarus.
