On Sunday the 17th of November, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 35 offenders at external borders and within the country.

18 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

2 foreigners with forged documents were detected

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point, while carrying out profiling of passengers, 2 citizens of Bangladesh entered Latvia, who presented forged Schengen visas, were detected. The persons were placed into the short-term detention facilities of the State Police.

6 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Grebņeva and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia and 1 - of Pakistan were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit; 2 citizens of Azerbaijan and 1 - of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. While at the Port of Liepāja 1 citizen of Russia (seaman) was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. Regarding the seaman, a confirmation from the ship's captain was taken, that the foreigner will not land ashore at the time of ship staying at the Latvian Port, the other persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 2 foreigners

At the Zilupe and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Moldova and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 3 citizens of Lithuania.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 14 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Russia, 4 - of Belarus, 2 - of Lithuania, 2 - of Russia 1 - of Ukraine.
