Events at the state border and within the country - November 21, 2018

On Wednesday the 21st of November, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 24 offenders at external borders and within the country.

15 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into Latvia as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and he was not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The person was returned to the exit country.

At the Terehova, the Grebņeva, the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Russia, 1 - of Moldova and 3 - of South Africa, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 2 citizens of South Africa was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 2 persons - 1 citizen of Latvia and 1 - of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 7 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 2 citizens of Belarus, 2 - of Latvia, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of Ukraine and 1 - of Lithuania.
