On Thursday the 22nd of November, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 53 offenders at external borders and within the country.

22 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

6 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova, the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points and the Port of Liepaja 1 citizen of Moldova and 1 - of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid travel document; 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into the country as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit;
as well as 1 citizen of Georgia and 1 - of Ukraine (a sailor) were refused entry into the country as the foreigners have a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. While at the Silene Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into the country as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country. Regarding the sailor, a letter of guarantee has been taken from the master of the vessel that the foreigner will not get off the vessel during the vessel stay at the port, while the other persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 4 foreigners

At the Terehova, the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Tajikistan, 1 - of Belarus, 1 - of Kirgizstan and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Kirgizstan was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 21 persons - 20 citizens of Ukraine and 1 - of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 10 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Latvia, 2 - of Russia, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Kazakhstan and 1 - of Belarus.
