Events at the state border and within the country - November 23, 2018

On Friday the 23rd of November, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 23 offenders at external borders and within the country.

7 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

At the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Belarus and 1 - of Russia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

At the Silene Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit), was detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by the citizen of Belarus was not commenced.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 5 persons - 2 citizens of Ukraine, 1 - of Latvia, 1 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 11 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Latvia, 2 - of Russia, 1 - of Estonia, 1 - of Belarus, 1 - of Uzbekistan, 1 - of Ukraine and 1 - Moldova.
