On Sunday the 25th of November, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 37 offenders at external borders and within the country.
25 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
2 persons with forged documents were detectedAt the Silene Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus, entered Latvia by car, was detained for use of forged Lithuanian International Vehicle Insurance Policy. While carrying out immigration control inside the country a Latvian citizen was detained in Priekule Parish for use of a forged Ukrainian driving licence. In both cases the criminal proceedings were initiated for use of forged documents.
8 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Terehova, the Silene, the Pededze and the Grebņeva Border Control Points 1 citizen of Moldova and 1 - of Belarus were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid travel document; 2 citizens of Russia, 1 - of Mongolia and 1 - of Belarus were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the Pāternieki Border Control Point 2 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 3 foreignersAt the Terehova and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Mongolia, 1 - of Russia and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by the citizen of Russia and the citizen of Ukraine was not commenced, the citizen of Mongolia was subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 6 persons - 3 citizens of Estonia, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of Moldova and 1 - of Belarus.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 6 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 2 citizens of Belarus, 1 - of Latvia, 1 - of Montenegro, 1 - of Ukraine and 1 - of Uzbekistan.
