On Thursday the 28th of November, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 43 offenders at external borders and within the country.
30 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
1 foreigner with documents of another person was detectedWhile carrying out the profiling of passengers at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Lithuania leaving Latvia, who presented an Identity Card of another Lithuanian citizen, was detected. The criminal proceedings were commenced for concealing personal identity, if it has been committed for the purposes of avoiding criminal liability or administrative liability or of committing a criminal offence, or for the purpose of helping another person to avoid criminal liability or administrative liability. The person was placed in a State Police short-term detention facility.
1 citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detainedAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia entered Latvia from London, who is on the Police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1990, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.
8 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Pāternieki, the Silene and the Terehova Border Control Points 2 citizens of Belarus were refused entry into Latvia, as they were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit; 2 citizens of Russia, 1 - of Belarus and 2 - of Moldova were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states, as well as 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 2 foreignersAt the Terehova and the Zilupe Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia and 1 - of Belarus, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 3 persons - 2 citizens of Moldova and 1 - of Uzbekistan.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 10 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Belarus, 3 - of Lithuania, 2 - of Russia, 1 - of Latvia and 1 - of German.
