Events at the state border and within the country - October 03, 2018

On Wednesday the 3rd of October, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 37 offenders at external borders and within the country.

16 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

4 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, and 3 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 4 foreigners

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), was detected. The person was subject to administrative liability.

1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia (woman), who was not in possession of valid travel document, was detected. The person was refused exit from Latvia.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 4 persons - 1 citizen of Lithuania, 1 - of Estonia, 1 - of Latvia and 1 - of Ukraine.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 17 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Belarus, 5 - of Latvia, 3 - of Estonia, 2 - of Russia and 2 - of Lithuania.
