On Friday the 4th of October, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 52 offenders at external borders and within the country.
27 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
2 persons, who are on the police wanted list, were detainedAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia leaving the country for London and 1 citizen of Latvia entered the country from Copenhagen, who are on the Police wanted list, were detected. The men, born in 1989 and 1981, were detained and handed over to the State Police officers.
8 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the "Riga" Airport and the Pāternieki Border Control Points 1 citizen of South Africa was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit; 2 citizens of Ukraine, 2 - of Georgia and 2 - of Uzbekistan were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states; as well as 1 citizen of Russia (female) was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 7 foreignersAt the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Ukraine, 5 - of Uzbekistan and 1 - of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Russia was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 17 persons - 9 citizens of Uzbekistan, 4 - of Tajikistan, 3 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Latvia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 8 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia -3 citizens of Belarus, 2 - of Latvia, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of Moldova and 1 - of Estonia.
